Position: Community Relations Advisor at Myer

When did you join the LBG Steering Group? 2016

Describe your job in one sentence: My role is to set the strategic direction for Myer’s engagement with the community.

Career highlight to date? Developing and implementing the award winning Give Registry – a program which assists vulnerable women rebuild their lives after fleeing violence. I am so proud that in a challenging retail climate, Myer fully backed the program and in doing so, have been able to make a practical difference to women’s lives. The initiative has also seen Myer gain global recognition among our peers and the CSR industry as an outstanding corporate citizen as a result.

Three things you can't live without: Nature, coffee and laughter.

What's on your bucket list? Travel through Argentina, run a marathon, and learn sign language.

What is the last book you read? The Magic Faraway Tree (to my kids obvs)

What do you feel most passionate about? #BringThemHere #CloseTheCamps

What advice would you give to companies grappling with impact measurement? Persevere. Being able to demonstrate impact by using the tools and means to measure which is made available through LBG adds credibility to your work and provides for a more robust reporting of community activity. And draw on the experience of the Corporate Citizenship Team – their help has been invaluable to the evolution of our Community Investment program.
